Criteria.
Businesses will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Location
Businesses must offer services or be physically* located in Central Georgia.
Central Georgia BBSF defines physical locations as a commercial property that is rented or owned for the purpose of business operations and is separate from the owner’s home address. Property must have been rented or owned at least 6 months prior to March 2020. If a business does not have a physical location, it must offer services to the Central Georgia Community. And the business owner must be a resident currently living in Central Georgia.
Time
Businesses must have been in business (operating) at least 6 months prior to March 2020, re business license.
Employees
Businesses can be sole proprietors or have up to 25 employees.
Eligibility
For Profit businesses in Middle Georgia only. Must provide a valid Business License. Small business owners will be prioritized.
Need
Funding amounts will be determined based on the above factors as well as criteria including physical location and access to local and federal emergency assistance where necessary.
